Alexei Kovalev: Nostalgia vs. Now
When the announcement came down from Pittsburgh Penguins General Manager Ray Shero that the club had traded a 7th, or 6th, round draft pick for Alexei Kovalev, long time Penguins fans swooned over the return of one of their previous greats. At a time of need, Kovy was returning to give them the scoring winger they needed! Sure he was aged, with the trade coming on his 38th birthday, but it was the exact low risk/high reward move the Penguins needed to take. It could end up being the move of the season, filling the void that the Penguins desperately need. Just how realistic is this scenario, though?

When naming off the biggest stars in Major League Baseball you can use just one name. Jeter, A-Rod, Rivera, Lee, Halladay, and perhaps biggest of all Pujols.

It's a tale of two legendary franchises, steeped in tradition going back over generations. By the end of the the night either Title Town or the Steel City will be celebrating in the street. So who wins: Pittsburgh or Green Bay?

Not All Lost for Pittsburgh Penguins
It was a year that started out so promising for the Pittsburgh Penguins. A stellar off season of big signings on the defensive end looked to correct their biggest weakness. Unfortunately all that glitters is not Vegas Gold. Injuries to Jordan Staal dragged out, free agent signee Mike Comrie hurt his hip and was out early... and then there was the continuing injuries to their biggest stars Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby.
