And of course Mario Lemieux |
Shot of the rink from my seats:
The Penguins and Capitals alumni skated to a 5-5 tie. It left a bit of a disappointing taste in the mouth of the fans but it was what it was: a change to see legends and idols play one last time.
After Mario held a press conference:
During the press conference I had the thrill of a life time. It was minor but Mario answered the question I asked him. The video to the press conference is here, my question is the second asked:
Following the Alumni Game, the Penguins took the ice for a quick practice:
Penguins winger Pascal Dupuis took the ice with some special head gear:
After, the Pens had some media time in the locker room.

Snagged a quick interview with Penguins defenseman Ben Lovejoy:
For those unfamiliar with my question, in 24/7 they showed Ben Lovejoy taking a shot to the face. The Penguins later took a plane flight and it caused the swelling in his face to increase:
Also had some time with Mike Rupp before the Penguins went about their way:
After that, the Capitals awaited their turn to take the ice for practice:

The Caps practiced for a bit but by then the ice was rather chewed up:
