Let's All Panic

Why not?  The Penguins are down 2-0, fairly convincingly, to a very tough Boston Bruins team.  Things look really bleak.  Players are playing poorly.  What else is there to do?

Let's all panic.

Never mind that this is the time the Penguins lost back-to-back games at home since January.  Never mind that these are the only two wins the Bruins have against the Penguins this year.  Never mind that the Penguins are four posts away from making this series 1-1.

Let's all expect the worst.

Expect that Sidney Crosby will continue to look like a beer hockey player.

Expect that Kris Letang will continue to play like he's a million dollar body and a dime store brain.

Expect that an offense that put up 21 goals on a Vezina caliber goalie will only score one goal all series.

Expect one of the best power plays to continue to struggle.

Expect a system that dominated regular season and has led them this far in the post season to continue to fail them.

Expect all of the bounces to keep going just to the Bruins and not the Pens.

Expect Evgeni Malkin and James Neal to continue their cold streak.

Expect the goaltending, no matter the goaltender, to continue to flounder.

Or expect that things will get better because we just saw the worst.

Things will get better.

And it begins tonight.

Let's go Pens.
