2017 NHL All Stars Announced

Whether or not you care about the NHL All Star Game, last year's show was special with John Scott the unexpected MVP of the exciting new 3-on-3 format.  What will this year hold?  We are one step closer to finding out with the announcement of this year's NHL All Stars.

Leading the Penguins invites are the two obvious choices: Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby.  Duh.  Notable about Sid's inclusion: He was the fan elected captain of the Metro team.

The notable names missing from Penguinland?  Kris Letang and our sweet boy Phil.  Who knows who may drop out that they can fill in, though.

Notable additional names on the All Star list include rookie sensation Auston Matthews, great beard haver Brett Burns, and for some reason the struggling Jonathan Toews was included.

Who else should be there?  Who is missing?  Give us your thoughts!
