Case and Point Reaches 100... Posts

Can you believe it?  It's the 100th post for Case and Point.  Between podcasts, predictions, opinions, and being on location that's a lot of words for one little blog.  Help me celebrate Case and Point turning 100... posts.

While several posts are lost in the ether of the internet, let's take a look back at our very first post.

January 29th, 2010

Nice enough that we can easily pinpoint the day the blog was launched.  A simple story about talking to Dan Patrick became something a bit more.  Since then it's helped keep me sane in rough times and helped get me access to amazing events.

A look back at the blogs time on location:

Perhaps one of the best experiences of my life.  It combined my love of two teams into one.  I got to meet several legends of sport, including a personal hero.  I was able to talk to some of the biggest names and really get my first exposure to a big event.  While the outcome could have been more to my liking, that happens.  For more in depth looks at the Winter Classic, read my thoughts here and here.

Another piece I did somewhat pertaining to the Winter Classic was my guest blog piece for my friends at the American Mustache Institute entitled The Sidney Crostache.  With some help from AMI found Dr. Aaron Perlut I explained the greatness of the Crostache and encourage you all to read.

The second big event for Case and Point this year was our trip to the NHL All Star Game, just up the road in Raleigh, NC.

It was just a big party.  A party that was themed of hockey.  It was refreshing to see a southern town like Raleigh completely take to the sport of hockey quite like Raleigh did.  For more of my thoughts on the All Star Game, click here.

My friends at Big League Wiffle asked me to write a guest blog for them and I obliged with pleasure.  I wrote the 10 Rules of Wiffle.  Chances are we all played wiffle ball and followed these unwritten rules.  It was time someone wrote them down.

Finally, the latest and last on location stop: Daniel Island, SC for the WTA's Family Circle Cup.

And now... here we are at 100 posts.  Pretty crazy to think.  Sure, maybe five or six were junk but regardless that's a milestone and I thank you all for celebrating it.  We also passed over 5,000 views all time.  I thank you for that as well.  We've evolved from a secondary blog on a sports talk site, to a blogspot website, to a full fledged url and we thank those who have been there every step of the way.

Don't forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare and as always I urge you to visit the friends of the blog.  I thank you for reading and hope you'll keep coming back for more podcasts, predictions, opinions, and being on location.  Thank you all once again.
